Did you know Chelsea is blure?Yesterday,Tuesday, we were supposed to go to school.But, she claims that Joanne told her that there is no school on tuesday!!

H1N1 Virus
Hello!!Today I will be writing about H1N1 virus.H1N1 is also known as Swine Flu to many people.It started in Mexico and has spread to many countries like Malaysia and more.Though Swine Flu has not come to Singapore,we should be careful to ensure that it will not come.For the past few weeks,the pupils in my school have took their own temperatures everyday,once at 7.30am and the other at 11.15am.On one day,when I went to the hospital,before me and my mother could go in,we had to stand on a spot and the staff used a computer to sort of look through our bodies.I think by doing all these things,it could help prevent Swine Flu from coming to S'pore.So,even if they find that there is Swine Flu in somebody,that person could straight away go to the hospital to seek medical attention.Our school principal,Mr Tan,advises us to have good hygine and wash our hand before and after meals.I will try to practise good hygine too.

Earth Day
Every year there is a day that we celebrate Earth Day.
thing Earth Day is the day that we appreciate the Earth.Earth Day is important to me because all the s I have on earth are there.
Reduce,Reuse,Recycle.We as children can play a part and recycle.For example, we can throw our litter in the recycling bin instead of an ordinary one.
As today is Earth Day(22-4-09),Mr Tan said that at 12.45pm our school would shut down all electricity for fifteen minutes.
My own family is planning to do that too.Maybe you should too.We should all try our very best to save the earth.
Well,with that I end my post.

International Friendship Day
We celebrate International Friendship Day to remember our friends from all over the world.ASEAN stands for Association of South-East Asian Nations.(Thanks Shash)Quite a lot I got a lot of information from this website www.ifd2009.com.sg.Asean is made out of 10 countries,Laos,Vietnam,Malaysia,Singapore,Thailand,Indonesia,Myanmar,Brunei,Cambodia,Philippines.
I enjoyed the concert that the school gave us.I was one of the performers too,along with Shash,Chelsea,Melissa,Suki,Jivitha.Other than us there was also an Indonesian lady that came to tell us more about Indonesia and gave out some sweets to the people that answer her questions.Unfortunately,the angklung members that were sitting at the side of the hall were not called out.But,after we performed the teacher in charge of angklung,Mdm Ong,gave us some.I have a friend from The Philippines named,Chelsea Azarcon.I got to know her at school.I think the school should organise more trips to other ASEAN countries so that we can meet the people there,and maybe even learn a bit of their language.
well,with that I end my post.Bye

Improving the School
My most favourite part of the school is the computer lab.Because in the computer lab I can play games,blog and many other thing like enjoying the air-con.My most disliked place in the school is the toilet.Because when we go there the toilet is always choked and dirty.I think we can improve it by asking other pupils to flush the toilet after they using it,and not throw toilet paper on the floor.
A few days ago,Mrs Subra said that girls should not wear colourful earrings.I think girls should follow that rule and change their earrings as soon as possible.

Healthy Eating
We have to eat a balanced diet in order to be healthy.Most people like to eat unhealthy food such as food that are high in fats,sugar and oil.Examples are fried chicken wings,sweets,cakes and cookies etc.Some diseases such as high blood pressure,stroke and various types of cancer can occur through eating unhealthy foods.If we eat more fruits and vegetables there are less chances that you will get these types of illnesses.I like to eat fruits and vegetables.Especially honey dew,mangoes,apples,bananas and water melons.When I eat water melons,after I bite into it all the juice will pour into your mouth and its so refreshing!I support the school's campaign in encouraging pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables.I think it is important that children and adults eat more fruits and vegetables so that they can lead a more healthy life.Now at school, we are starting an activity where students in every class can ask the stall vendors for more fruits and veggies in their foods.And when they do that the stall vendors will give them a card and at the end of the competition the class monitors will collect the cards and count them.In each level the class with the most cards will get a prize!(Which is yet to be revealed)

Reflection On My Target
This year, for my English, the target the Madam Siti gave me was 88/100.Fortunately, I got 98/100.(Same as Hui Xuan)I did more assessments and read a higher level of books to achieve these marks.
For my Maths,I got 92/100 when my target was 88/100.I did my best to do at least one assessment each day.
For my Science I got 88/100 when my target was 86/100.(Not too good,only went up by 2 marks!=(=(
Well,at the least I was able to achieve my targets.I hope next time I will do better.What about you?Did you achieve your targets?

After tests!!
My test marks are not too good and not too bad look here English:49/50 Maths:46/50Chinese 41 .5/50 Science 44/50!!Hope their good enough!!!
Sports Day 2009
Last Friday,it was Sports Day.Me,Misha,Shashneetha and Chelsea met each other outside our school so that we could walk there to the stadium together.
Me and Chelsea were taking part in the race.All the participants were supposed to march in together according to their houses but Chelsea(the blure queen)did not even know!So,she missed the march!Ha Ha Ha=)=)Anyway after the march the races began.After half of the races has finished,the teacher said that we would be having a ball game with a huge huge ball,and MR Martin Tan joined in Sapphire house and help save us alot of times!(He is so good!)
At the end of Sports Day the teacher announced which house was the Champion House,and Sapphire house won and we brought back the huge Trophy carried by Miss Jumi.WHOO WHOO!!!!=)=)
After that, the school buses brought us back to school.Then,me and Chelsea went to Pheobe's house.Her dog Tenshi was so cute but so old it was 49 years old!!
After a few hours we went home.
I was tired but yet happy.

Fire Safety
Today I will be talking about Fire Safety. About a year ago,there was a fire at the market somewhere in Ang Mo Kio.
One day when I got home,my mother told me that there was a fire the day before,I asked her which market was it and she said that it was the one near my house!I asked my mother if she could bring me there to take a look and she agreed.
When we got there,I was quite shocked.The floor was filled with black pieces of paper and many police officers where there.But surprisingly,two stores were not burnt at all!I think one was the store that sold Wan Ton Noodles and the other one I am not sure.My mother said that the next day this incident would surely be on the newspapers.And sure enough the next day that happened.Fortunately,according to the papers nobody was injured because it was late at night and the only people there were sitting outdoors,so when they saw the fire they ran away quickly enough.Though the police do not know what caused the fire,my mother said that maybe it was caused by the incense stall.
Now they have started a temporary market,though it is much smaller the food is still quite nice.They also have started building a new one.

Preparation For My Tests
Today, Mdm Siti, my class teacher asked us to write a post on my preparation for my test next week.
My most hated thing in the world are tests and exams!=0And because my birthday clashes with the test period my mother onlycan bring me to buy birthday presents after the exams! I wonder if I do well will I get any prizes............But, as my mother wants me to do well in in the up coming class test one,I have to study everyday including Tuesday when I have high achiever science,maths and Chinese tuition in the night!
Anyway,this is how I prepare for my class test one.Everyday,when I come home I have to do either Maths,English,Science or Chinese assesments.
Other than that, I also have to read good English books,Chinese books and some type of Science books.
Well with that I end this post.

What Do I Do After School
On Monday I have SP Programme.Then I walk home.When I get home I do my homework,then I pack my bag while watching television.At night,after I have dinner and a bath my mother will revise with me either English,Maths,Science or Mother Tongue.
On Tuesday,I stay back for High Achiever Maths and Science.When I get home,I play computer games and then do my homework.Then I pack my bag while watching television.At about 6.30pm I have my Chinese tuition.When I get back home at about 8.00pm,I have my bath and then read some books.Then I go to bed.
On Wednesday,I do not have to stay back so after I do my homework and pack my bag maybe my mother will let me go swimming or play computer games.After that I have to revise my work.At night after I have my dinner and bath I watch some television and go to bed.
On Thursday,I have Angklung CCA.I enjoy it a lot as I can learn how to play the Angklung while spending time with my friends.When I get home I do homework pack my bag and then play the computer.At night after I eat dinner and bathe I watch some TV.Then I go to bed.
On Friday,sometimes I have prefect meetings.If not I go home and pack my bag,do homework and watch Tv.Then I revise my work.At night,I have dinner and a bath and then I go to bed.
With that I finish my letter.

Passion For Learning
My passion for learning is English.Now a lot of people in many countries speak English,when I went to China my father's friend's daughter that was in a chinese school could already speak a little bit of English.
I realised that a lot of people in Singapore speak Singlish.For example at the end of their sentences they would say 'la'.We should try to get rid of this bad habit.If we speak like that in other countries the people there might not understand us.
I will try to improve my English by reading good books,doing some English assesments and speaking better English at home and in school.

My Holidays
This holiday my family drove to Malaysia.I went with my mother, father and my two brothers.One of my brothers did not go because he was going to go to Japan.
When I was in Malaysia I went to Kl and Malacca I stayed five days in KL and a day in Malacca.On my first day in KL after we arrived we went to the hotel,the hotel was a four star hotel it was very nice and clean.As it was already 7.30pm when we reached the hotel my family decided to go for dinner at a roadside stall that my father had gone to before.We had stingray,vegetables and some soup.It was a very yummy dinner.After dinner we went back to the hotel.
The next day,my family decided to go to the elephant farm on the way there we stop at the rest area and when my brother tried to start the car it would not start!My mother asked a chinese couple if they could help us and they helped us call the technision and then finally the technision got our car started.It was so scary!when we got to the elephant farm we got to bathe the baby elephants and feed them too!When I touched the elephant's skin it was very hairy a rough.And the adult elephant was so huge and scary up close.My brother asked a person that was working there and she said that the oldest elephant there was already 38 years old!She also said that the elephants there were all wild elephants.
After we left I asked my brother" if the elephants are wild elephants how do the people there know their age?" My brother said that he did not know either. We still spent others day there but i do nothave time to tell you about them.
I enjoyed my holidays alot i hope i can go there again.
